Complete Epoxy System Supplier — GCC
Raykem supplies the complete epoxy coating system from a single source — liquid epoxy resin, the full range of hardeners (TETA, DETA, polyamide, phenalkamine, cycloaliphatic, Jeffamine), reactive diluents, accelerators, additives, and solvents. Dubai HQ and Riyadh office for GCC-wide supply.
How the Epoxy System Fits Together
A two-component (2K) epoxy system requires matched components. Raykem supplies every layer of the system.

The hardener determines cure speed, flexibility, chemical resistance, and surface finish. Raykem supplies all major hardener chemistries for the GCC epoxy market.
Polyamide Hardeners — RAYCURE Series
Polyamide hardeners offer excellent adhesion, flexibility, and moisture tolerance. The workhorses of the GCC epoxy coating market. Suitable for primers, mid-coats, and general industrial coatings.
Aliphatic & Cycloaliphatic Amine Hardeners
Fast-curing, high cross-link density. TETA and DETA are low-cost, highly reactive amines used in high-performance industrial coatings, adhesives, and composite systems. Cycloaliphatic amines offer improved UV stability and colour retention.
TETA — Triethylenetetramine
| Amine value | 1,450–1,600 mg KOH/g |
| Viscosity | 20–30 mPa·s @ 25°C |
| Pot life (100g) | 15–25 min @ 25°C |
| Typical ratio | 13 phr with YR-128 |
Fast cure, very high reactivity. Used in industrial flooring, adhesives, and grouts. Skin sensitiser — handle with care. Often used as part of a blend rather than neat.
View TDS →DETA — Diethylenetriamine
| Amine value | 1,700–1,800 mg KOH/g |
| Viscosity | 5–10 mPa·s @ 25°C |
| Pot life (100g) | 10–20 min @ 25°C |
| Typical ratio | 11 phr with YR-128 |
Very fast cure, lower viscosity than TETA. Used in adhesives, grouts, and casting systems where fast demould is needed. Blush risk in humid GCC conditions.
View TDS →RAYCURE 238 — Modified Aliphatic Amine
| Pot life | 30–45 min @ 25°C |
| Touch dry | 4–6 hrs @ 25°C |
| Blush resistance | Good |
| Ratio | As per TDS |
Modified adduct — reduced skin irritation vs neat TETA/DETA, better blush resistance. Anti-corrosion primers, floor coatings, marine applications.
View TDS →IPDA — Cycloaliphatic Amine
| UV resistance | Excellent (non-yellowing) |
| HDT | Up to 110°C |
| Pot life | 45–90 min |
| Application | UV-stable clear coats, topcoats |
IPDA (isophorone diamine) provides excellent UV stability, making it the preferred choice for pigmented and clear epoxy topcoats exposed to Saudi Arabia's intense UV conditions.
View TDS →Jeffamine D-230 — Polyetheramine
| Amine value | ~450 mg KOH/g |
| Flexibility | Excellent |
| Toughness | High impact resistance |
| Application | Flexible epoxy, adhesives |
Polyether backbone gives exceptional flexibility and toughness. Used to toughen brittle epoxy systems — floor coatings with thermal cycling, adhesives, and composite applications. Available on enquiry.
Enquire →Polyamidoamine Hardener
| Properties | Combines amine reactivity with polyamide flexibility |
| Blush risk | Low |
| Application | Marine primers, tank linings |
Hybrid chemistry — faster cure than polyamide, better flexibility than pure amine. Ideal for marine coatings and tank linings in humid GCC environments.
View TDS →Phenalkamine Hardeners — Marine & High-Humidity
The premium choice for marine, offshore, and below-grade coating systems. Derived from cardanol (cashew nut shell liquid), phenalkamines cure in wet and humid conditions — critical for the GCC coastal and offshore environment.
Phenalkamine Hardener — Standard Grade
| Cure temperature | Down to 5°C |
| Humidity cure | Up to 98% RH |
| Pot life | 45–90 min @ 25°C |
| Key application | Marine, offshore, subsea |
Cures in wet conditions, on damp surfaces, and in high humidity. Essential for UAE and Saudi coastal infrastructure, offshore platforms, and splash zone coatings.
View TDS →Phenalkamine — Construction Grade
| Solids | High solids / solvent-free |
| Application | Concrete waterproofing |
| Substrate | Green concrete compatible |
Optimised for construction applications — concrete waterproofing membranes, below-grade tank coatings, and infrastructure protection in Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 projects.
View TDS →Cycloaliphatic Amine — Construction Grade
| Blush resistance | Excellent |
| Chemical resistance | Excellent |
| Application | Chemical-resistant floor coatings |
Low blush risk, excellent chemical resistance. Chemical plant floors, secondary containment, and food-grade coatings where amine blush contamination is unacceptable.
View TDS →Reactive Diluents & Accelerators
Reduce viscosity, speed up cure, improve surface wetting — without compromising final film performance.
Solvents & Thinners
Solvent selection affects viscosity, dry time, film appearance, and VOC compliance. Raykem supplies all key epoxy system solvents from Dubai and Riyadh.
Benzyl Alcohol
| Boiling point | 205°C |
| Flash point | 93°C |
| Viscosity | 5.8 mPa·s |
| Purity | ≥99.5% |
Unique dual function — acts as both a solvent AND a co-curing agent with amine hardeners. Plasticises the film, reduces viscosity, and extends pot life. Essential in high-build epoxy systems. Lowers HDT slightly. Use at 5–15% in Part A.
View product →Xylene (Mixed)
| Boiling range | 136–144°C |
| Flash point | 27–32°C |
| Purity | ≥97% aromatics |
| Evaporation rate | Medium |
The most widely used thinner in GCC epoxy primer and anti-corrosion coating systems. Strong solvency, good evaporation rate in Middle East temperatures. Used in solvent-borne primers and mid-coats. Not for use in food-grade or enclosed space applications.
View product →IPA — Isopropyl Alcohol
| Purity | ≥99.5% |
| Flash point | 12°C |
| Specific gravity | 0.784–0.786 |
| Evaporation rate | Fast |
Used for surface cleaning and degreasing prior to epoxy application. Also used as a thinner in some waterborne epoxy systems. Essential for cleaning equipment, removing amine blush from epoxy surfaces before topcoating.
View product →Solvent Selection Guide — GCC Epoxy Systems
Anti-Corrosion Primer
Xylene as primary thinner. Add benzyl alcohol (5–10%) to extend pot life in hot GCC conditions.
Floor Coating (100% Solids)
No solvent — use RD-12 reactive diluent for viscosity reduction. Benzyl alcohol if pot life extension needed.
Marine / Offshore
Limit xylene for enclosed spaces. Use benzyl alcohol where possible. Always check VOC regulations for the vessel or platform specification.
Equipment Cleaning
IPA for amine blush removal and surface prep. Xylene for uncured epoxy equipment cleaning. Never use water on uncured epoxy equipment.
