RAYCURE 960 — Room-Temperature Curing Polyamide Resin

RAYCURE 960 is a room-temperature-curing liquid polyamide resin characterised by low viscosity, a non-critical mixing ratio, and an extended pot-life. When combined with appropriate liquid epoxy resins it produces hard, low-gloss films well suited to solvent-free coatings, concrete repair, adhesives, laminates, potting, and encapsulation — with full mechanical properties developing over seven days at ambient temperature or faster under elevated cure schedule.

Applications — GCC, Africa & Beyond

  • Solvent-free protective and decorative surface coatings for industrial facilities in UAE and Saudi Arabia
  • Concrete repair compounds and structural adhesives for construction and infrastructure projects across GCC
  • Potting, casting, encapsulation, and impregnation systems for electrical and electronic components
  • Laminates and flooring applications requiring hard, non-glossy film surfaces
  • Chemical-resistant coatings for industrial process areas and laboratories
  • Adhesive systems for bonding concrete, metal, and composite substrates

Key Properties

  • Low viscosity with non-critical, easy-to-use mixing ratio
  • Hard, non-glossy films with good mechanical performance
  • Broad compatibility with standard liquid epoxy resin grades
  • Long pot-life (120 min gel time) — controlled application conditions
  • Amber colour — suitable for pigmented and filled systems
  • Full properties achievable at ambient temperature over 7 days
  • Accelerated cure available with elevated temperature schedule

Usage & Recommendations

Recommended addition: 40–60 g per 100 g epoxy (EEW 200). RAYCURE K54 (DMP-30) accelerator may be used judiciously to speed cure without adversely affecting pot-life, flexibility, or colour development of the finished film. For GCC ambient temperature applications (25–35°C), cure properties develop well within 3–5 days. For faster service return, use elevated cure at 60°C.

Frequently Asked Questions

At 25–30°C (typical GCC air-conditioned indoor conditions): full properties develop in 5–7 days. At 35–40°C (GCC summer ambient): full properties develop in 3–4 days — elevated temperature accelerates oxidative cure naturally. For faster return-to-service, use elevated cure at 60°C for 2 hours followed by 100°C for 1 hour. Gel time is 120 minutes at 25°C.

Yes — RAYCURE 960 is specifically suited to potting, casting, and encapsulation applications. The 120-minute gel time at 25°C provides excellent working time for filling complex moulds and electronic enclosures. Hard, non-glossy cured films with good mechanical properties. Typical addition: 40–60 g per 100 g epoxy (EEW 200).
