RAYCURE 915 is a solvent-free polyamide hardener engineered for cold-curing epoxy systems on steel and mineral substrates. Its high molecular weight backbone imparts superior toughness and film integrity under demanding service conditions, including prolonged exposure to humidity and chemically aggressive environments — making it ideal for industrial protective and marine coating programmes in the GCC.

Usage & Recommendations

Recommended addition: 82.0–180.0 g per 100 g epoxy (EEW 190) or 45.0–75.0 g per 100 g epoxy (EEW 500). Use aromatic hydrocarbons or diacetone alcohol for dilution. Avoid ketones and esters — they form stable complexes during storage. RAYCURE K54 (DMP-30) may be incorporated to reduce cure time without affecting pot-life, flexibility, or colour development.

Frequently Asked Questions

RAYCURE 915 is a higher-viscosity polyamide with AHEW ~240 g/eq — preferred for anti-corrosion primers and marine coatings where outstanding toughness and water resistance are required. RAYCURE 925 has lower viscosity (AHEW ~130 g/eq) and is preferred for coal tar epoxy systems, adhesives, and applications requiring longer pot-life. Both are compatible with RAYPOXY YR-128.

Yes. For solvent-borne anti-corrosion systems, use RAYCURE 915X75 (polyamide at 70% in xylene) which is pre-dissolved for compatibility with solvent-borne epoxy systems. For 100% solids systems, use RAYCURE 915 directly. Avoid ketones and esters as diluents — they form complexes with polyamide during storage.
