Frequently Asked Questions
RAYCURE 915X75 is RAYCURE 915 polyamide pre-dissolved at 70% active solids in xylene. Use 915X75 when formulating solvent-borne two-component epoxy primers where xylene is already part of the coating system — it blends seamlessly and eliminates the need to separately dissolve the neat polyamide. Use RAYCURE 915 (100% solids) for solvent-free or water-reduced systems.
Yes — this is the primary application. The xylene carrier reduces viscosity to a level suitable for airless spray on large structural steel areas. RAYCURE K54 (DMP-30) may be added at 0.5–1.0% to accelerate cure without adversely affecting pot-life or colour. Flash point of xylene (27–32°C) requires flammable liquid handling precautions during spray application.
