Usage & Recommendations

Use RAYCURE 915X75 (polyamide in xylene) as the paired hardener for a fully compatible two-component system. Alternatively use RAYCURE 915 (100% polyamide) diluted in xylene. Mix ratio based on EEW of resin and AHEW of hardener — calculate from actual COA values. Flash point of xylene (27–32°C) means the mixed system requires flammable liquid storage and handling. In GCC summer heat, pot-life will be reduced — mix smaller batches. For SASO VOC compliance in Saudi Arabia, consider switching to RAYPOXY YR-128 (100% solids) with RAYCURE RD12 reactive diluent for a low-VOC alternative.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store in sealed containers in a dedicated flammable liquid storage area at 5–35°C, away from heat and ignition sources. Earthing and bonding required during transfer. Shelf life: 12 months. FIFO stock rotation essential.

Liquid epoxy resin (RAYPOXY YR-128, 100% active solids) is a pure, undiluted resin containing no solvent — it is used in solvent-free formulations. Solvented epoxy resin is the same Bisphenol-A resin pre-diluted in xylene to 75% or 80% solids — it is used in solvent-borne coating systems where xylene is part of the formulation design. The solvented version has lower viscosity, simpler application, and longer pot-life, but contributes xylene VOC to the coating formulation. For SASO VOC-compliant coatings in Saudi Arabia, 100% solids systems using reactive diluents are preferred.

For structural steel anti-corrosion primers: RAYCURE 915X75 (polyamide at 70% in xylene) is the most practical paired hardener — same solvent system, easy mixing.
