Liquid epoxy resin based on Bisphenol A (DGEBA, CAS 25068-38-6) is the most widely used epoxy resin worldwide. It is a light yellow, viscous liquid characterised by its epoxy equivalent weight (EEW) of 182–196 g/eq, which determines its reactivity and the quantity of hardener required. When combined with a suitable hardener (amine, polyamide, phenalkamine, or anhydride), it cures to produce a tough, chemically resistant thermoset polymer.
