Organic Pigments — Phthalocyanine Blue, Green, Red & Orange | UAE

Raykem supplies a range of high-performance organic pigments to paint manufacturers, printing ink producers, and plastics compounders across UAE and Saudi Arabia. Our organic pigment range covers the key colour families used across GCC industrial and decorative applications: Phthalocyanine Blue (PB15), Phthalocyanine Green (PG7), and a selection of high-strength organic Reds, Oranges, and Violets — all offering significantly higher tinting strength than inorganic alternatives, enabling deep, vibrant colours at low addition levels.

Decorative Architectural Paints — Bold Colours

Organic pigments are essential for producing bright, clean blues, greens, reds, and oranges in decorative architectural paints for UAE and Saudi Arabia's residential and commercial market. Phthalocyanine blue is the industry-standard blue pigment in architectural tinting systems across the GCC.

Industrial & Protective Coatings Tinting

Used in small quantities (0.1–2%) to achieve specific colour codes in industrial maintenance coatings, anti-corrosion systems, and safety-colour coatings — safety yellow/orange markings in GCC industrial facilities.

Printing Inks — Process Colours

Phthalocyanine Blue (PB15:3) and Green (PG7) are standard process colour pigments in offset, flexo, and gravure printing inks for the UAE and Saudi Arabia packaging and publishing industries.

Plastics & Masterbatch

High heat-stable organic pigments (DPP Red PR254, Carbazole Violet PV23) used in colour masterbatch for polyolefins, engineering plastics, and PVC across GCC manufacturing.

Powder Coatings

Heat-stable grades (PB15:3, PG7) used in thermosetting powder coatings for architectural metalwork and industrial components across UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Concrete & Construction Chemicals

Selected organic pigments used in cement-based coloured grouts, tile adhesives, and repair mortars where organic pigment brightness is preferred over inorganic earth tones.

Usage & Recommendations

Organic pigments are high-strength — use at 0.1–3% in most paint formulations. Always pre-disperse as a concentrated pigment paste (flush or grind with dispersant) before letdown — dry powder addition to paint causes agglomeration and colour weakness. Use polymeric dispersants (BYK, EFKA type) for optimal dispersion. In cement-based systems, only alkali-resistant organic grades should be used — Phthalocyanine Blue/Green are alkali-stable; many organic reds and oranges are not. Confirm alkali resistance before use in concrete or cement-based applications. Contact Raykem for grade-specific technical data and dispersion guidance.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store in original sealed containers in a cool, dry warehouse away from heat and direct sunlight. Most organic pigments have a shelf life of 2–5 years when stored correctly. Keep sealed to prevent moisture uptake and dust generation.

Frequently Asked Questions

PB15:3 (beta-phase, reddish blue) is the most widely used phthalocyanine blue — it is stable in all standard paint, ink, and plastic systems and provides a clean, neutral-to-reddish blue widely used in architectural and industrial applications. PB15:1 (alpha-phase, greenish blue) provides a stronger greenish blue hue preferred for certain printing ink applications and bright "sky blue" paint shades. For most UAE and Saudi Arabia decorative and industrial paint applications, PB15:3 is the standard recommendation. Contact Raykem for a shade chip and COA for both grades.

Yes — organic pigments do not contain the prohibited heavy metals (lead, chromium VI, cadmium, mercury) restricted under SASO standards for architectural coatings. Phthalocyanine-based pigments (Blue, Green) are also included in the EU and GCC lists of approved colorants. Always verify that the specific pigment grade you are using meets the requirements of your application and any relevant SASO technical specification. Raykem provides full COA and SDS documentation supporting SABER certification.
